The Supreme Court Friday refused to listen to a petition filed by CBI Special Director Rakesh Asthana difficulthis removal by the govt amid a vast infighting inside the agency.

Appearing for Asthana, senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi aforesaid he had filed a official document petition and will be detected.
Asthana’s petition followed CBI chief Alok Verma’s that was submitted two days ago — hours after he and Asthana were divested of their powers in a late-night move by the government.
In response to Rohtagi, judge of Republic of India Ranjan Gogoi said: “Why ar you late?
You missed the bus.



Your petition isn't before US.” Rohatgi said he will file it and requested the court to hear him Monday next.
The court then aforesaid it'll investigate it.

Asthana had on Tuesday approached the urban center supreme court for quashing of Associate in Nursing FIR lodged against him by Verma.
The court, in turn, directed the CBI to keep up “status quo” till weekday on proceedings.

Earlier within the day, the Supreme Court, on hearing CBI Director Alok Verma’s plea, aforesaid a CVC inquiry into the allegations against Verma should be completed inside time period.

The court additionally directed that interim CBI chief M Nageswara Rao shall not take any major policy choices.
Decisions taken by him since October twenty three until date shall not be enforced, it said.
All choices taken by Rao shall be placed before the apex court during a sealed cowl.
